Parents/Carers

Continuing in education can help your child, child in your care, make the most of their lives.  It will help them develop as a person, enjoy new experiences and opportunities, improve their qualifications and, one day, probably lead to higher paid jobs.

We know that parents, carers, families and supporters have a big influence on young peoples’ choices.  But undoubtedly you will have lots of questions yourselves about higher education from how to pay for it to where to study.

This website is designed to give guidance on many of the issues surrounding further and higher education, provide information about Aimhigher activities in our Area and provide links to further information.  And although you may be looking at this as a parent or carer of a young person, don’t forget that higher education could be for you too!

The following websites provide information about higher education for parents, carers or supporters of young people.
